$1000 Scholarship Opportunity for the 2018 200-Hour Teacher Training Program

December 6, 2017 Kimberly Drye

We are pleased to announce the availability of the "Susan Kay Hollingshead Accessible Yoga Scholarship" to 2018 200 Hour teacher trainee applicants.  This scholarship is a $1000 gift from the Hollingshead family, in honor of Susan Kay Hollingshead who was previously accepted to the 2017 program and passed away unexpectedly.  Susan was a regular private yoga student of Kim Drye's and attended her Friday morning classes at Villager Yoga.  Kim remembers Susan as a deeply poetic soul.  She is missed dearly.  You can learn more about Susan here.

This refrain from the late Leonard Cohen was at the signature of Susan's emails:

"Ring the bells that still can ring

Forget your perfect offering

There is a crack in everything

That's how the light gets in."

We've added a final question to the application for applicants who feel that they have a strong aspiration to offer accessible yoga to a need-based population.  Please direct any questions about the scholarship application process to herenowyogatt@gmail.com.
