We are pleased to announce the availability of the "Susan Kay Hollingshead Accessible Yoga Scholarship" to 2018 teacher trainee applicants. This scholarship is a $1000 gift from the Hollingshead family, in honor of Susan Kay Hollingshead who was previously accepted to the 2016 program and passed away unexpectedly. Susan was a regular private yoga student of Kim Drye's and attended her Friday morning classes at Villager Yoga. Kim remembers Susan as a deeply poetic soul. She is missed dearly. You can learn more about Susan here.
This refrain from the late Leonard Cohen was at the signature of Susan's emails:
"Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in."
We've added a final question to the application for applicants who feel that they have a strong aspiration to offer accessible yoga to a need-based population. Please direct any questions about the scholarship application process to email@example.com.
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION DEADLINE: January 31st, 2018
